NDC Goals: Bring Peace, Unity and Development in the Great Lakes Region for the Interest of the People.

National Democratic Congress (NDC)/Congres National pour la Democratie(CND) is a coalition of Rally for Unity and Democracy (RUD-Urunana) and Rally of the Rwandan People (RPR-Inkeragutabara). It is open to other political parties who share the same ideals of democracy, justice, equitable society that respect the basic human rights for all Rwandans and residents of Rwanda, without distinction. NDC strives to change Rwanda, into a progressive nation that respects its neighbors and is well integrated in the region; politically, diplomatically and economically.

NDC People: the story of a woman who cares.

This week, in the series to answer questions regarding National Democratic Congress (NDC), I would like to reply to those who asked why people choose to remain engaged in our cause.

When I was thinking about an answer to this question, I remembered an inteview I had with a journalist of National Public Radio (NPR) in 2009. For those who do not know NPR, it is the most important radio in the United States of America. The journalist was interviewing me from my home. He asked the following question off the record: why are you engaged with RUD-Urunana? Why going through so much trouble for a cause, when you can leave it and enjoy life here in the United States of America?

As usual, before I answer the question, let me start with a short story.

Alfred Nobel, who is well known for Nobel Prizes, actually made his fortune in the business of dynamite and explosives. The products he invented and produced have been the basis of the weapons that have devastated the world from the 19th century to date.

Disappointed, But Still Standing: A Word of Hope for Rwandans

On November 13, 2016, I attended a Christian church fellowship in Brooklyn, New York, at the Brown Memorial Baptist Church. Brown Memorial Baptist Church, that is celebrating 100 year-anniversary of its creation, has played a key role in the American Civil Rights movement. Along with other major African-American churches, such as the South Carolina Emmanuel African Methodist Episcopal (AME) church (see here), the Church leaders and members rallied, comforted, and gave hope to millions of African-Americans and minorities and served as a pillar of strength to lean on during trying times.
