Ref: Position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) on the Military Operations planned for Jan 2, 2015 Against Rwandan Refugees in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), the coalition between the Rally for Unity and Democracy (RUD-Urunana) and the Rally for the Rwandan People (RPR-Inkeragutabara), wishes all Rwandans and Friends of Rwanda Happy holidays and a Happy New Year 2015. The year 2015 should provide an opportunity to renew efforts aimed at bringing peace in the African Great Lakes Region, especially in the Eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Rwanda. As 2015 is about to start, NDC offers, once again, its contribution to the restoration of durable peace in our region by committing to renewing the missed opportunity provided by the 2008-2009 demobilization and disarmament process of Kasiki, Lubero, in North-Kivu province. NDC also takes the opportunity of solemnly give its position on the military operations planned by MONUSCO against Rwandan refugees starting January 2, 2015.
